This show was loosely based on Catherine the Great, of Russia. It was termed “anti-historical” by Hulu because it was not meant to historical, but well, meant to be entertaining and get viewers! It depicts her young life, marriage to the Emperor, and the plot to kill this crazy guy. It ran for three seasons on Hulu from 2020-2023.
